Maria Bruno is a senior investment analyst in Vanguard Investment Counseling and Research. She is part of the team that is responsible for establishing and overseeing the investment philosophy, methodology, and portfolio construction strategies used to support Vanguard’s advisory services, products, and strategies. Ms. Bruno’s areas of expertise include portfolio construction and financial planning, with specialization in retirement planning topics, retirement income solutions, and wealth management strategies. Prior to her current role, Ms. Bruno worked in Vanguard Personal Financial Planning and Advice Services Departments creating personalized financial plans, managing a team of financial planners, and developing Vanguard's advice products and services. Ms. Bruno has more than twenty years of experience in the financial services industry. She earned a B.S.B.A. from Villanova University. James Dutkiewicz, Vice-President and Senior Portfolio Manager, Sentry Investments
James joined Sentry in 2012, bringing with him a broad range of experience and wisdom in the fixed-income arena. As head of the fixed-income team, James’ strong credit skills and commitment to fundamental analysis match Sentry’s investment process and philosophy on the equity side.

Bev Evans is a Director, Wealth Management and an Investment Advisor at Richardson GMP. She and her team use a life planning approach to advise their clients and specialize in helping them navigate life transitions. Prior to joining Richardson GMP in 2008, Bev had established her practice at a bank-owned firm, where she received numerous awards and recognition for her client-centric and holistic approach to wealth management, particularly as it relates to the unique planning needs of women and widows. Bev recently led a collaboration of six authors to write “What Next?   John Natale, Assistant Vice President, Tax and Retirement Services, Manulife Investments
John is the Assistant Vice President of the Tax & Retirement Services team for Manulife Investments.He joined Manulife in 2001, having previously worked for a national accounting firm and a private law firm. He has experience with estate planning and wealth management strategies and a wide variety of general tax matters including trusts and annuities. John is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and seminars, has published articles on estate planning and income strategies, and has appeared as a guest expert on BNNTV. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of British Columbia. John was called to the Ontario Bar in 1998. He has obtained his CSC certificate and completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Course. John has an Elder Planning Counselor (EPC) and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and is a member of the Ontario Bar Association and the Canadian Tax Foundation.

  Robert Schmidt, Manager, Brandes Institute
Robert Schmidt is the Manager of the Brandes Institute, a division of the firm that seeks to enhance knowledge of financial markets, raise awareness of issues related to portfolio management and build understanding of investment processes. Schmidt has responsibilities for overseeing project research and analysis, writing and editing for Institute publications, presentations and special events. He also contributes to the creation of marketing communications materials.
Prior to joining Brandes, Schmidt was the head writer at Nicholas-Applegate Capital Management. Previously, he was a stockbroker, an editor for a business newswire service and a newspaper reporter. Schmidt graduated magna cum laude, earning his BA degree from Duquesne University. He has 20 years of investment experience.

 

 
  Daniel Stanley, Vice President, BMO Investments Inc.
Daniel’s 14 years of experience in the capital markets industry includes positions in sales and investment management in Toronto and New York City. During his 7 years at CIBC World Markets he developed expertise in helping advisors use structured products and foreign exchange solutions. He managed global currency exposure at Bloomberg LP, and previously held a role as an investment advisor at RBC Dominion Securities, where he advised clients on security selection and portfolio management. Daniel's consultative approach to working with investors is well suited to increasing the awareness of BMO ETFs among retail and institutional clients.
